A Taste of Blogging

I'm not a newbie in blogging. I started blogging in 2005 up to the present because I fall short of updates, I receive countless buzzes “update update update” but for some reason I can’t cope most of the time. I write whenever I feel like it but in all honesty: I sometimes post entry just for the sake of posting, especially when I started to become a member of post paid blog that requires a blogger to have at least a daily update. In which way I know for sure that I don't meet the requirements of blogging. I'm far beyond. When I posted Can’t Stop Blogging You, I received a comment from Margaret that I must head to Turnip of Power where good and bad blogs are written and, in a span of minutes, my spirit leaped with joy right after I read that. Admittedly, few of the rules fail me to follow and I think some bloggers just aim to get fast bucks in the wallet. Oh well, that is not the ultimate purpose of most of the bloggers. It's the quantity that matters to many a blogger not the quality. However I believe it's to all of us individually to decide which direction our blog has to go to. Any blog expert can rate that my blog is far from being well established. I strongly agree. I'm trying and hope I can get this blog that far, one day.;)

HAPPY HALLOWEEN EVERYONE!:)

Can't Stop Blogging You

I was thinking of forgetting the blog. I considered to stop because I could not accommodate the responsibility as a serious blogger anymore. I wasn't that busy but there were times I felt too lazy doing the blog hop and updating it. I set a break for a couple of days that turned into a month. I only updated when there was a task. However, I realized that I should not let go the 3 years of blogging because I started to love it. I might not often been active here but at least there are moments I like to connect wherever and whoever in the blogosphere. I know there's so much you will learn while blogging. You get the chance to know other people in the world and their interest, etc.. To do my share I won't promise to have a daily update but at least there will be one once a week.

I am a bum all over again...:( Happy Wednesday everyone!:)

Wild Things Dance Groovy

Last weekend I had a surprise invitation from a friend Emily. I had not seen her since last June at the birthday of her son I guess (gosh I forgot) Actually I was only raided by Rhubi or I invited myself at the time. Anyway, this time, it was an officially hand over invitation to celebrate her graduation in Special Education and her birthday. She and our common friend Rhubi are both teacher at the University of Southern Philippines. Well, I think I am the only one who wasn't a teacher in the crowd but I knew all of them because I often visit the school. Uhumm. When the dance floor opened I was quite wild never had the impression that I was surrounded with teachers who are suspected of being prim and proper. But the thought came to me (that everyone should know of): that for once teachers are good at grooving music. We enjoyed so much! Thanks to you my dear Emily. I truly appreciate you remembered me. ‘till next celebration or the blessings of your house maybe or the birthday of Rhubi? hehehe

Emily and her loving husband!:)

supply for a bum

I’m a right bum today. I don’t feel like doing any single chore, most especially the paper work that needs to be done. It makes me feel a lazy bones not having bought office supplies because I have nothing left on my table here to use. I need to energize my body and do the back log works. I better go shopping for some office supplies before the end of the day and have the feeling to have been productive.

I, Robot?

Will men ever become robots or at least might have replacements for lost limbs or let’s say lost memory? It sounds too much science fiction to you? From what I understand, already a person with electrodes implanted inside his brain used neural signals alone to control his prosthetic arm. More mundane but often forgotten are the profoundly hearing-impaired individuals carrying cochlear implants already. The slogan ‘the future starts today’ has been overtaken: it already surrounds us! But next to be able controlling a computer cursor or that robot arm, will technology someday actually enable the brain’s roughly 100 billion neurons to function perfectly? Try to imagine this large team heading in one and the same direction…mmm…see what I mean? The Six Million Dollar Man, from the 1970s television series, might be proven impossible one of these days, but wouldn’t a One Million Pesos Man be as appealing and a huge step forward as well? I would settle for ‘tinkered’ eyes that won’t need a pair of glasses anymore. Without them I look ten years younger. That Youthful Look I’ll get for free then. Isn’t that nice to look forward to?

Should Have Seen It Coming

The phrase ‘whatever catches her eyes’ that’s to be found at the upper right of this blog has got a new meaning, a new dimension to me lately. Unfortunately it seems that it’s bad luck that has flown into them. If it’s reading or walking, I can’t see very clearly. And for some reason it gives me dizzy spells as a bonus as well. It’s easy to be wise afterwards, the omen were there some time ago. I should have listened to them. Now it’s an ordeal to walk around the apartment, let alone to go out. From now on I’ll be more aware what blind people have to go through, or those who suffer from dyslexia. I hope to see you guys soon... pardon the expression.

Simply Comfortable

Three days ago I was with my friend Josephine. We attended a Silver Jollibee of her sister’s organization of Oblate Sister. It was nice and heart warming to witness those nuns entertaining us. After the event we headed to a mall because Josephine needed to buy some crib bedding for her adorable daughter. We were indecisive which one to choose because they all were so nice and screaming to grab. But finally our eyes dropped on the most simple yet beautiful crib bedding. I know Joyce will love to crawl all over and sleep under it all day and night.

A Pleasant Surprise

It’s always growing a smile when an invitation drops into your mailbox. No matter if it’s a real one that clacks in the wind or one in cyber space with a ping. Although this invitation has come to me with delay, some hiccup along the Yellow Brick Road I guess, I surely appreciate the gesture. How can one refuse a nice cupper from such a charming couple of elderly ladies who seem to appear from an Agatha Christie’s novel. At first glance, that is, because what’s that mushroom cloud doing there in the background of their site’s header... it’s not the first and obvious thing to expect. Intriguing combination to say the least. Go to margieandednasbasement if you like to have a look yourself. A basement sounds ominous too, like the name Jericho... Wasn’t that the city which walls came down? Then I realized it’s Kansas we’re talking about: Tornado Alley, if I’m not mistaken? Basements down there are a safe place to hide, remember what happened to Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz? The good thing of her amiss is that it gave us a wonderful story, and the believe there’s something await for us, somewhere over the rainbow. So, all things considered, there’s nothing to worry about. Thank you dear ladies, I accept your invitation....erm... where did I leave my red shoes, and I shouldn’t forget the home made cookies that go well with tea. I’m not so sure about that Special Tea though, perhaps a bit too strong to my taste. But I might try a sip to your good health...

Cheaper but safe miles

With the global crisis still ever growing bigger, all of us are aware and keen to find good and solid things with substantial discounts and still be trustworthy. One necessity to look for is solid insurances. Especially with the ever raising gas prices, a cheap auto insurance that's still covering all what other more expensive insurances do as well is a rewarding find.

My least fave

My least favorite of all outfits is a hat…the one item you can't find in my closet. Maybe because it doesn’t look good on me or the shape of my face doesn't convey with the beauty of the hat? Whatever it is, it is really hard for me to wear a hat. I envy some who look so stunning wearing one. I wish I soon can wear my favorite!

i love my eyes

Stubborn as I am, no matter if my eyes get tired or even painful, I'm still adamant not to wear eyeglasses. There's someone who has generously given me 3 pairs of eyeglasses but since I got them I only used them just a few minutes. Wearing them makes me feel being a nerd or too old, despite I know my eyes badly need them

Sweet Nastyness

You know from the previous post that I’m such a sucker for music. And very likely like you, I got my fav’s. I appreciate many different kinds of music, but not all. Then lately, doing some twist, break dance or lip-singing (I can’t remember) the following idea came in mind: is there any link between music and the number 2 soft spot I got: perfume? Both are very personal, right? What I like, might someone else’s pants drop? I could have started the obvious way, with something I’m really fond of. But, decided to do crazy for once, and tackle Grunge Music.. Grunge? I hear you say, yes, because do you know there’s always a nasty ingredient used in perfume, no matter how dearly it hast cost you? Well, Grunge is very close to nastyness to me....but erm...wait a moment, like perfume you got to balance and vary things to come up with a totally new and surprising smell...right... I like to share some samples with one common ingredient, the song ‘Smells Like Teen Spirit’ by Nirvana, but what a different result. Don’t be afraid that your ears might drop off, open all three bottles...

Laid back music

Since I got back my pc and ecard, I was supposed to double my time to regain the time I was not around. Unfortunately I was laidback yesterday. The only thing I did was downloading some of my favorite music until I fell asleep. It seems I still have to get back the energy to drop and blog. Music is part of my life, I rather have no entertainment at all than having a silent room without music. While I blog and do paper work music has to pamper my ears.

My simple gratitude

If there's one emotion I feel then it's the overwhelming gratitude to those bloggers who continuously dropped ec on me despite my absence. I'm over the moon to hear the top ecard dropper on me. Thank you so much. I’ll keep visiting, commenting and dropping ec as much as time allows me. I won't be in front of my pc for a couple of days, not because of pc problems but some personal matters I have to deal with. Here are the top dropping for this month!:)
