You enjoyed the elevator clip, so I was on the prowl for another smile awakening footage. But I've to warn all of you girls: we'll be beaten at our moment of full ecstasy! It's a Dutch Heineken clip, you probably won't understand a word of it, but the images are not having a language barrier, I'm sure... oh well, let them have it, let's make a girl's agreement and all get a headache tonight?

Obama's Catwalk

In times of Recession the skirts grow shorter showing more legs, and the sales of lipstick go up. That’s what I heard and read once. I myself, don’t have many skirts (too much leg, I do have) and I don’t wear lipstick often. In dark days the places where the limelights shine on Red Carpets are spots-to-be-seen. Recollecting some of the images of Obama’s Inaugeration Day, and seen aftermath reactions, I’ve come to think that the biggest catwalk ever must be that same Inaugeration Day? Hundreds of thousands waiting for hours in the freezing cold, eager to be there, to share the historical moment, that must have been heaven for fashion designers in their struggle for attention, to point out which famous face is wearing their’s?

The First Lady’s jewelry must have been seen by many pairs of opera-glasses on the front seats? Or at home in front of super-super widescreen TV’s? I had’t noticed them. As soon as the last tunes of Aretha Franklin’s ‘Tis of Thee’ had found their way into Washington’s joyful crispy sky of anticipation, the orders for her hat came in by the hundreds. Don’t get me wrong, I like fashion myself too much to stab a dagger in its back, but I do hope that after the sounds and sights of glamour the solid recovering will take over. That the skirts will get longer and that lips stick less again!

Sweet Sixteen Spoil

‘I’m born in the wrong century!’ that’s what I thought reading about the possibilities of an online medical assistant training school. Their program, professionally designed by a qualified faculty, consists of separated learning units called modules. All related to healthcare, such as: anatomy, physiology, medical computer applications and business management. At his own pace, when it’s convenient to him, a student can tackle all the modules and end up with a start of a career in an international field that’s crying for people taking care of people! Wish I was Sweet Sixteen again.

A Patchwork Of Pleasure & Pain

Six days of running back and forth, meeting all walks of men, for better for worse, I was getting short of breath sometimes. Some requirements were hard to get, some still are beyond my reach, yet I survived. I actually had a week without comparison. I jumped off boats packed with my few but heavy bulky belongings, in between the waves I held my head between my knees. Only when I felt the sandy beach between my bare toes I could recover. Afterwards I could even triple my effort to cater my needs. In short, it’s been a patchwork of pleasure and pain. I wish to return soon to blog, drop and visit you all. Expect more pictures by then, that’s been a neglected area.

A Chime Of Cards

Being on top of my business now (the shop just around the corner), not losing precious time anymore by commuting, or depending on the weather conditions, I get all kinds of things in mind that might be of help to me. Maybe not all suitable for the day of tomorrow, but who knows, for the day after? Maybe things like gift cards to, let’s say, increase sales and customer loyalty are a bit over the top or far fetched at this very moment, but I’m very charmed of the idea.

Fish On Fire

One of my latest experiences of the past days was when I found myself in the store. I had an unexpected early customer for a ‘fish ball’, and to be honest I didn't know how to operate the gas yet because this is a new extension to my business. I asked my lady neighbor how to lit the fire but she didn't know either. Something must have gone wrong after it eventually got lighted: the flames got wild and roaring, we both panicked and didn't know what to do. There was one guy however who saw us cramming in order to lower the fire. But he just pointed out and said: ‘you have to get a wet rag, top the flame with it’… but the damn guy refrained from helping us, till the fire got low again. Then he moved to the stove pretending to help us. The fish balls got too ‘crispy’ by then, and had to be thrown away.

The Buffalo And The Bull

Being back on Camotes I don’t have a car anymore. True, it is a very convenient way of transport, but the one single road that encircles the island is covered with bad patches, and at night you might encounter a buffalo sleeping on the still warm but not lighted tarmac! Now I have mentioned those; bad roads and anything you could find on them, they are just two of many points to remind if one is looking for a solid auto insurance FAQ that will cover them. The weather of last week was in favor of the stroll on the beach with my friend Ylan. It was nice to savor the summer once again. We roamed around some top tourist destinations of Camotes and of course we couldn’t resist playing the clown, and got home with a handful of daring pictures! Bibs, Burps And Baby Bottoms

It won’t harm anyone to get updated with many things of life. However one of them that still can take you by surprise, is the announcement of a new baby. Call me naïve, but last time I got ‘updated’ in this field, saw the word ‘baby-shower-cake’ and wondered what flavors they might have got! To find out it resembles a wedding cake stuffed with goodies like towels and more kids wagons from practical to fun. If that’s too much, a bottle of baby powder or the set of Bibs and Burps will always be welcomed. Last but not least, baby’s blue eyes will sparkle with that hooded baby bath robe with his/her initials.

A Break A Day

The beginning of the month of January, and therefore the beginning of the year, gave me a hectic schedule from the start. I had to rush from one requirement to the other. It gave me headaches what I should do first, because all were screaming for my attention. Some of them have been settled, slowly but surely. Now I wish I can have a few minutes break. Make that a day! Then again: I need and want to push my fingers on the keyboard any hour I can spare…

Mouth Watering Yellow Dots

An Island Girl myself, I’m instantly attracted to any archipelago. No matter if it has rocky rough, or soft sanded coastlines, the blood of this beach bull is getting warmer and warmer the moment I lay eyes on all those yellow dots surrounded by royal blue on maps. From first hand I’m aware of the restrictions that islands can have. The more I was pleasantly surprised to see the diversity, the endless possibilities of the Outer Banks of North Carolina. That chain of barrier islands from Corolla in the north to Cedar Island in the south makes my mouth water. I don’t know where I should start, if being there. But isn’t that the charm of it all? To find out?

In the days that I depend on internet cafés to get online, I’m sure I have to neglect my posting tags and other entries. Despite this misfortune I got a blog award from gorgeous Kreez from Malaysia. I’m very pleased with it. In return I have to describe myself… ok, here we go:

1. I love exploring nature and beaches in particular. I’m a beach lover, a bull sometimes but never a bum.
2. Once a month I travel for travel sake, I need to feel the tarmac. Amazingly most of the time I travel alone!:(

9. I love to dance but the groove of music doesn't coordinate with my body moves. I look ugly when I dance. I’m a wannabee dancer.

I received a tag from Mira a couple of weeks ago. I didn't respond right away since I had to pick a picture from my computer’s desktop that wasn’t no longer functioning. Then I was thinking to use a picture of my Friendster Album, the Boracay Album in particular. In the 6th of my album there’s a picture with hot Marc. He’s a model and tv host of Sports Unlimited every Saturday at 11pm. He’s actually my ever crush celebrity who I've been wishing to hold and hug once! Then that wish came true. When I saw him, I asked my friend Candy to take a picture. Our table was right next to theirs. I honestly felt uneasy because I always sneaked to see him. I really felt nervous to ask him until my friend pushed me. When he noticed that I'd like to take a picture he smiled and said it was ok. He tried to extend his arm around my waist. I felt terrible nervous and forgot to give him a return hug. Another celebrity was Luis Mansano. But Marc Nelson made my night on Boracay.. haay, wish to hug him again!:)

Free Fitness Fling

Resolutions are to be remembered and followed. But sometimes they will melt like a strawberry icecream in the midday sun. Maybe to some people diet pills are a solution, will have a certain positive effect, but not to me. My personal diet consists of eating all I like in moderate portions. With the Sinulog Festival I just did that, and while enjoying the smells and flavours I walked mile after mile, burning all those calories already! A Stiff Job

The Liberty Statue at our back that you see is really human. It was his job to be a Statue of Liberty. I wonder how much his rate for the job is, for sure it was not an easy job. The picture was taken on Boracay. Taking the picture I didn’t realize it was human and I cried out in utter amazement when I saw him moving.

A Refined Solution

The days of chunky and hard to move TV sets are over. With flatscreen plasma and lcd tv’s getting thinner and more refined styled everyday they seem to be on the verge of disappearing out of our homes. But they still have to get installed somewhere. The search for a tv stand isn’t an easy one. Stereo equipment surrounding the tv can be a nuisance for the eye and to keep clean and dust free. To get that all built in, kept out of sight while not being used, is a solution.

Scent Of Home

Being returned to Camotes, the differences with Cebu are slowly getting in. One of the most striking one is the omnipresence of the salty ocean and its waves. Even when you can’t see it, you’ll hear or smell it. I wonder if I could call it Scent Of Home? Could one catch this scent in a bottle? Label and sell it? Somehow my gens as a Beach Bully have already responded. According to some article I saw, it’s feromones (pardon, if I misname this mysterious phenomenon) that make us doing so. It’s told that even babies recognize the mother, not just by sound of her voice, but also by her scent. And don’t we all get visions of home getting fresh baked bread in the nostrils? We might have lost much of our ability to smell, and will be dwarfed by our pet dog easily, there’s still a lot hanging around in a human brain. Why else would humans make a lot of fuzz distributing a pine scent through the Parisian underground to relax its passengers, why would Japanese offices get administered a lemon scent through the aircon to stimulate the energy to work, why would a house sold much easier when possible buyers walk around in apple-pie-flavoured rooms? Treacherous Times

It’s not just a car drive that can make me think about all things in life, as I noticed and shared with you lately. The last boat trip I had showed next to a suicide on one boat, a fatal heart attack on another. The first one was only from hearing. But I was one of the fellow passengers of the second. Motorways and waves can be treacherous, can’t they? Accidents like these make one aware of his own vulnerability. It was only been arrived on Camotes, I realized I was going to miss the Sinulog Festival. I didn’t feel like going out these past days because of the weather that made me feel lazy. A Stretch On Pink

Normally I wouldn’t pay too much attention to interior decoration, not that I don’t like it, it’s more for budget reasons I walk by those departments without slowing down my pace. Or I must have some burning feet, and flop down into some nearby comfortable chair. It could happen some creative mood is dripping in by then. Some pieces of conversations are recollected, like the one about area rugs I had lately. Surprisingly, this talk was not with one of the girls, but a guy who got a rug just for the sake of the stereo sound in his apartment. And frankly, that made sense to me. But I’m sure his rug won’t be even close to that very cute longhaired pink rug over there... would the floor manager mind me having a stretch on that one, I wonder...?

Incidental, Inimitable Waves

Last week I planned a visit to Camotes but it was delayed due to the bad weather. That was in the days that the police squad came to rescue me. You might remember that one? After some sleepless nights I tried to catch the morning boat unfortunately without success. There was one boat actually, but this one had seen the misfortune of a suicide, I did not have the courage to take that one. Later that day I heard it had sunk. Thank God I followed my own inimitable ways.

Blue Eyed Bags

You might call me a Bag Addict, I won’t be offended. And I will fall for every pair of Baby Blue Eyes, each time without hesitation. But I got flattened out by surprise when I saw the range of Ju Ju Be diaper bags. Instantly awe-struck by the sheer size of the jujube-packables: unless you got a twin I wonder if it’s diapers or the twin itself that has to be accommodated in that one! Or both? They don’t come cheap, but it saves you a removal truck! But I got really charmed by the jujube-mine’s: like all ranges of them they’re reversible, and very versatile. A jujube-mine could be used for a wallet, small handbag or cellphone-pocket later, when the diapers are just a faint memory!

A Turtle Ride

It’s the middle of the month of January and I’m still chasing the ec dropping and visit blogs while sitting on a turtle. It seems this catching up gets more delayed by the day because of the well known reason: my slow syrupy internet connection. I can only visit a café for a limited time because I have a few sidelines to do first. It makes me eyes water. This time it’s not the stormy weather to blame for it!

Don’t expect me to carry a whole set of suitcases with me when I’m heading for some airport or bus terminal. For starters my back for sure, and physical condition in general, won’t allow. I’m charmed of the device ‘travel light’ anyway. And something without keys please: I’m very good at losing them!

A Stormy Weather Thank You

For Children With Adults?

This rather innocent looking scene could cause a frown or two. The sign says 'for the elderly and disabled'. Now, we could start a discussion about at what age you become 'an elderly'. But it's clear: both seated don't belong to any of the two groups. Then the last straw to hold on is the text on the sign that says 'or those with children'. Does that make it ok to you? Mmm, there's still the sound of gnashing teeth, right? Anyway, funny is that the only one who's not in the wrong by the slightest, is the one who can't read yet. And he surely is a lady killer already: he stands up for ladies, and let them seat. So, we can see it this way: kids of the world, when you're shopping with a parent (or two), let them sit, by all means, no offense!:)

To Cut Or Not To Cut?

I got horrified the moment I stepped out of the shower and noticed a loss of hair again. I'd been thinking about this problem before, but again didn't take any action. I'm thinking of cutting my hair now. Would a short cut will benefit me, will I look good?

Small Item Big Difference

I got a slight hunch that there are not many people who really can claim not to be fond or perhaps even feel repulsion of getting dressed in such a fashion that they can pretend to be someone else. I even have a bold statement: this has already started with the cavemen, dressed in a booty deer’s fur in their hunt for some other Bambi that could serve for their dinner. If that isn’t acting… It’s indeed running through all centuries and cultures. Even in this age of computers and internet, because I think what’s seen on for instance Second Life as a way of getting stage dressed as well. Costumes will always be in demand because of their quality that they can make the one who wears it stronger, convincing and therefore more confident. But beware: to pick the right outfit isn’t that easy as some people might think. One is inclined to exaggerate. Details can make or break one’s performance. The Santa who wears the wrong color outfit, the too short beard, has not the rosy cheeks and who isn’t chubby enough will be unmasked by the smallest toddler. I myself, love to use as few small props as possible like sunglasses, then again, we all know plenty of people who do, don’t we? If you fancy some more wild and weird, check it out here.

A Deadly Sniper

All cancers are potential killers. That’s a known fact to all of us. Clumsy

Once again my pc gave me a splitting headache. It was just yesterday that I got it all reformatted and, clumsy as I am, I never did think of getting any of those tape drives for a solid back up of the system. If I had, I might not have lost some of my important files. I felt disappointed I couldn't retrieve but it got worse when I found out the technician forgot to install the Microsoft office software, Dvd Player and other more! I feel the boiling water is...gggrrr..

Natural Body Shape

Yesterday I had a talked with a friend I hadn't seen for a few months. After the usual updates I was a bit surprised to hear her compliment that I looked that healthy, that I even gained weight. Oh well, holiday did not stop me eating. And my intentions for 2009 were not made concrete yet. I did not deprive myself any food offered. I did not even think of appetite suppressant because my goal this year is to gain weight and get the average natural body shape. So give me all your food now and in just seconds it will be digested already! :P

Exit Sign

Once I was in a certain area that wasn’t really familiar to me. The surroundings were a bit confusing and the building itself showed not in the slightest way an entrance or exit sign… so I got lost, walking around in circles. How funny when I asked the guard to help me out, or should I say: in?… he wasn’t able to do so. Aren't they getting training or something? How did he manage to find his way down there? I ended up asking people and finally I got where I was heading for all the time. It took me quite an effort to find myself inside that establishment.

Forgotten Presents

I forgot to mention my meeting with Rhubilyn's close friend Emily. But I can't forget her Christmas present for us: a sumptuous dinner at KFC. After that we tried to burn some calories and walked the entire Ayala.

Ancient Cellphone

The rolling wave of gadgets can't be stopped, even if there would be people who would like to try. Frankly, I doubt that, people seem to be hooked on them. I'm not easily affected by it. My ancient cellphone has made people wondered when I ever going to replace that old dinosaur. But as long as it satisfies my needs and won’t drop dead I'll keep it. One day it will have to be replaced, and by the looks of it, its successor will be a totally new kind of animal. One with a wide range of technical marvels like those cell phone amplifiers under its very smooth shiny skin.

Worth Tiring

I forgot the date when we had a meeting with Emily the close friend of Rhubilyn. But I could not forget that she treated us in my ever favorite fast food chain KFC that was our Christmas present then. Thereafter the sumptuous dinner, we roam around the entire terrace in Ayala 'till our foot gets tired. It was a worth tiring foot!:)

A Merry Meeting

Last Sunday I finally met sweet blogger Twerlymz. How sad when we found out we were just a few meters away from the city. she invited me to her daughter's baptism but I was out of town that day and with Ylan in hong kong I had not the confidence of a companion. Then there was supposed to be a second meeting but another reason made me fail again. I felt disappointed when I let the couple waiting for me in the Holiday Spa, the venue of our eyeball. And with no further delay we finally met Twelymz in her apartment. It was fun chitchatting for 2 hours of blogging tips and taking pics..:) :P

Between Bull & Bum

With Xmas and New Year celebrations just over and people here are getting excited of the coming Sinulog Festival my heart and mind are more looking ahead for a good summer vacation. Though it's still far, even Valentine’s Day is not even close, I’m a born beach bully girl. But before you accuse me of being a Beach Bum (there’s a slight difference I can assure you) I like to point out I’m interested in all kinds of places far remote from beaches as well. Like cities for instance, their own appealing charms have given me a few Wow Moments already. To my own amazement I found myself attracted to another way for indulgement: Branson Missouri. I haven’t spotted that they got beaches down there, yet, but their range of accommodations has surely one that fits my wallet. Any wallet. Next to the offered packages one can get a more personalized one that will fit your idea of a good time. Speaking of: the 40 or more shows there will guarantee a nice evening out. For instance to my surprise (I can feel a Wow coming) I saw that the show ‘Spirit of the Dance’ is still on stage. But be aware: the Irish feet don’t dance the two first and last months of the year! And would I like to walk that Grand Staircase of the 1/2 scaled Titanic? Yes, I would like! Would I like to relax in one of those Spas after visiting a vast number of those hundreds of shops there? Yes, I would. You too? Get your eyes a treat then.

A Service Beyond The Expected

Is this the 6th day of the new year already? It seems only seconds ago that we were celebrating, and the normal life has taken over without much fuzz. There's a busy schedule ahead of me with renewal permits, but frankly there's one thing I'm really looking ahead for: the Sinulog Festival. I hardly can wait. Well, a few days ago I spent some days with my friend Rhubilyn and her family. I gladly accepted because I felt bored with my pc, that got the technical hiccups again. We went downtown.After we had enjoyed strolling around the place, we got back to the car, and found out that the battery was empty. Being all females we definitely were in desperate need for the support of a male. In a few minutes hooray: there was one to help us out! One of the ladies cried out: he even got the SUV car service nyc beaten, and that was pretty amazing already! And because this lady has been to New York more than once, and crossed the Big Apple with all possible ways of public transport, from cheap to very expensive, we could get a good idea how fast and smooth our Guardian Angel had been!

Life can be compared with driving your car every now and then. Once taken a certain direction you could come across with unexpected matters you better deal with on the spot and not postpone. But the unknown area and the many traffic signs can be confusing! What’s supposed to be the first step to take when you’re looking for, let’s say, a term life insurance?
