Packaging can be informative, and should be so, because it surrounds us by the hundreds of thousands. It also should distinguish itself from all of the others, for the same reason. And sometimes it does. It also should be attractive. There might be some smudge in this field, but I confess, it could be a personal thing. Then, does it cover well or tell what’s inside? Does the flag cover the cargo? I incline to say no, not very often. Take the dutch masters cigars for instance. Rembrandt’s time was a practically non-tobacco-era. Cigars weren’t around yet. Pipes were. I sense a smoke screen here.
